Homer High School Parents Organization
The Parents Organization is open to all parents and guardians of high school students. The goal of the group is to provide parents with the opportunity to help make the school experience a positive one for our students.
The traditional projects of this group include the All Night Party after the prom (May) and the teacher appreciation luncheon (June).
Homer Music Boosters
The Homer Music Booster Club, Inc., is a district-wide parent organization that works to support the music activities in the Homer Central School District. Without this effort the music department’s quality could suffer greatly.
Some of the areas in which the Booster parents provide assistance are the sports concession stand, awards banquets, annual Christmas tree ornament promotion, band uniform assignment/ recordkeeping, chaperoning, equipment loading, staff the “Marching Band Store” (shoes, gloves, shirts, hats, etc.) and publicity. Meeting dates are listed on the calendar, generally on the first Tuesday of the month.
Homer Athletic Booster Club
The Athletic Boosters are volunteers - parents, teachers, and community members dedicated to working together in support of all athletic programs at Homer High School and Homer Junior High. The goals include:
-encouraging student participation in interscholastic sports
-improving school spirit and attendance at athletic events
-demonstrating good sportsmanship
-raising funds to purchase equipment and other items that are not covered -in the school budget
The Athletic Boosters are committed to treating all Homer's interscholastic sports programs as equals. In fundraising and equipment purchasing, this means that each program will be encouraged to make requests. Obviously, not every need can be met. But every effort will be made to see that all sports are assisted over time.
